Personal Statement All life on this planet has great variety and different species have adapted differently to enable them to survive in constantly changing environmental conditions. Despite these variations, it is commonly accepted that all life on this planet had a common ancestor – a single cell.

My study of Biology and Chemistry at A-level has allowed me to build up my knowledge of the natural world from an atomic to a macroscopic level. I recognise the importance of chemical foundations necessary in understanding biological concepts, which has inspired me to study this in even further dept
