We will only use your identifiable content for research, or licensing of datasets to third parties if you provide explicit, opt-in consent at the point of collection. If you do not consent, your content will not be used for these purposes.
4. Lawful Bases for Processing (UK GDPR)
We rely on the following lawful bases set out in Article 6 of the UK GDPR:
- (a) Consent: For sending certain marketing communications; for sharing your contact information with partner sites when you indicate interest in their services; and for any use of your identifiable content in AI model training, research, or licensing to third parties. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- (b) Contract: To provide the services you request (e.g., processing your statements and delivering feedback).
- (f) Legitimate Interests: To operate, secure, and improve our services, and to understand usage (balanced against your rights).
5. Data Retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. For content you submit to AI features or customer-support communications, we retain it for up to 3 years from your last sign-in to our website (anyverse.app), unless you request earlier deletion, or unless longer retention is required by law.
6. Sharing Your Information
We may share your personal information with:
- Service Providers: Who help us operate our website and services (including hosting, analytics, customer support, and—when AI features are available—model providers under appropriate data processing terms).
- Partner Sites and Affiliates: If you indicate interest in paid university admissions services during sign-up or onboarding, we may share your contact information (including name, email address, phone number, and other personal information you have provided) with World Class Education (worldclass.education), our partner organisation that provides paid expert university admissions support services. This sharing is based on your consent when you indicate interest in paid services. World Class Education is a legally separate entity that operates independently, and their use of your information will be governed by their own privacy policy.
- Law Enforcement and Regulators: If required by law or to protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal data. We will not license or sell identifiable personal statements or communications to third parties without your explicit consent. We may create and share aggregated or anonymised insights (for example, student sentiment trends or support-volume benchmarks) that do not identify you, including with third-party research or commercial partners.
Communications Insights and Research
- Identifiable communications: We only use the content of your messages for internal support, safety, and product-improvement purposes, unless you have explicitly consented to broader research, training, or licensing uses.
- Aggregated insights: We may transform communications into anonymised or aggregated datasets (e.g., sentiment dashboards or trends) and use or license those insights for our own research, to inform partners, or to publish market intelligence, provided they do not identify you.
- Opt-out: You can opt out of future use of your identifiable communications for research or licensing at any time by contacting legal@anyverse.app, subject to the limitations described in Section 5 of this Policy and our Terms of Service.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.
8. International Transfers
Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or other legally valid transfer mechanisms.
9. Your Rights

- Request deletion of your information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent (including consent to share your information with partner sites)
- Data portability (in certain cases)

Note: If you withdraw consent for sharing your information with partner sites, we will not share your information with them going forward. However, we cannot retrieve information that has already been shared with partner sites, and you would need to contact them directly to exercise your rights regarding information they hold.
